High Winds in High Places

Ok, so…I wasn’t going to post these pictures, because frankly…they aren’t very good.  But it’s really cool to see this happening…

The wind is blowing at around 100-120mph up there.   The peak farthest left is Mt. Whitney, at 14,400 something feet tall…the tallest point in the continental U.S.  The other peaks are between 13,800 and 14,300. 

You can see that there is so much snow moving around the peaks that they are completely blown out.  You can see the swirls and drifts at the top.  Where I’m standing is maybe 4, 500′ in elevation.

Anyhow…Here they are.  High Winds in High Places…
