Panamint Rattlesnake

I took my daughter out for a very quick road cruise last night.  It was quite windy, but warm…but there is a definite storm front rolling in for the weekend, so we didn’t see a whole lot.  In fact…we saw only 1 DOR juvenile Red Coachwhip(Masticophis flagellum piceus) and a single live Panamint Rattler:

A young one...maybe 3 buttons and about 12-14" long.  Probably born last year...

There were some very ominous-looking clouds forming in the early evening, but they cleared out and gave us a decent night of cruising:
