Mother Nature is the artist. I just collect the memories…

Ancient Souls

Bristlecone Pines.  Ever heard of them?  They are the oldest living things on planet earth.  They range in age from 2-8,000 years old, and many are still growing, including the oldest one, the Methuselah Tree which is just over 8,000 years old and still growing.  Funny thing about the Bristlecone Forrest…They give all this wonderful scientific information on these trees…but never made a sign for the Methuselah Tree to identify it to the public.  I guess they didn’t want people messing with it…

Anyhow…I went for a hike through the forrest yesterday morning, and thought I would share a couple of pictures…

Isn't that the most naturally beautiful wood you have ever seen?

Isn't that the most naturally beautiful wood you have ever seen?

That’s it for now.  I have a couple hundred more pictures from the day that I still need to go through and process.  I might have a couple more decent shots…maybe not…

Hope you enjoyed the journey!

    • Thanks! The grains and color patterns in the wood REALLY make a fantastic subject.
